Nagpur: PureSil Paints, the mineral-based architectural coatings brand from Relic Coatings LLP (an innovative specialty chemicals startup and DPIIT-recognised manufacturer headquartered in Nagpur, Maharashtra), is targeting 100 footprints across India’s major metropolitan cities and state capitals over the next 12 months.
The expansion plan is aimed at strengthening the company’s distribution network while promoting sustainable, domestically developed alternatives in the architectural coatings industry.
The 100% Made in India PureSil Paints brand combines indigenous technology, locally sourced raw materials, sustainable materials and a zero-VOC formulation.
The company said its approach is focused on advancing environmentally sustainable coating solutions while supporting domestic manufacturing and supply-chain resilience.
As part of the first phase of its expansion, PureSil Paints has appointed channel partners in Nagpur, Cuttack, Pune, Kolkata, Raipur and Vadodara.
Since its commercial rollout in August 2026, the company has focused on product trials, customer engagement, distribution development and institutional project opportunities.
PureSil Paints Focuses on Indigenous Manufacturing
PureSil Paints is a 100% Made in India product that combines indigenous technology with locally sourced raw materials.
This results in negligible dependence on imports for its raw material requirements, according to the company.
The approach is intended to strengthen supply-chain resilience while supporting India’s vision of self-reliance in manufacturing.
The company is targeting a broader pan-India presence through a selective expansion of its distribution network over the next 12 months.
At the core of PureSil Paints is its mineral silicate technology, which incorporates a rice husk ash-based silicate binder and proprietary silicification technology.
By utilising Rice Husk Ash and Fly Ash, PureSil Paints promotes the productive use of agricultural and industrial by-products in construction materials.
PureSil Paints Uses Zero-VOC Mineral Coating Technology
PureSil Paints features a zero-VOC formulation and breathable coating technology, with a focus on long life.
The company positions the product as an alternative for environmentally conscious construction.
The breathable nature of PureSil Paints allows moisture vapour to escape through the coating, supporting healthier wall performance.
The product range is available in multiple colours and SKUs to cater to diverse architectural requirements across residential and commercial applications.
The company’s focus on mineral-based coatings comes as environmental considerations gain prominence in the paints and coatings industry.
The sector is increasingly exploring formulations with lower environmental impact, while growing emphasis on low-VOC and zero-VOC products and demand for resource-efficient construction materials are creating opportunities for sustainable mineral-based alternatives.
PureSil Paints Targets Residential and Commercial Markets
Commenting on the expansion, Dr Nikhil Dhote, Founder and Chief Technologist, PureSil Paints, said, “We believe the future of the coatings industry lies in combining performance, sustainability and indigenous innovation.
Our focus is to build a strong pan-India presence while offering an alternative that addresses evolving environmental expectations and India’s growing emphasis on self-reliance.”
PureSil Paints is targeting residential and commercial real estate, institutional buildings, urban infrastructure and industrial establishments as part of its expansion strategy.
The company plans to expand selectively, prioritising capable channel partners and strengthening its operations in line with market demand.
Its target of 100 footprints over the next 12 months is expected to support the brand’s expansion across major metropolitan cities and state capitals in India.
